Kampa: the second most beautiful urban island in the world
The most romantic place in Prague is Kampa Island, which according to the ranking of travel portal VirtualTourist is considered the second most beautiful urban island in the world. According to the site, its beauty is even greater than Paris's Île Saint-Louis.
Kampa lies between the main flow of the Vltava and its canal Čertovka. It offers visitors the opportunity to have a picnic, relax and also explore this site of little picturesque homes and ancient history. The earliest written mention of the island comes from 1169. Starting in the 15th century, mills and mill gardens started to be built here. One of them is Sova's Mills, which today is home to the Kampa Museum (https://www.museumkampa.cz/en/) with collections of artworks from the 20th century.
Several well-known figures also lived in homes on Kampa, for example Josef Dobrovský, Jan Werich, Jiří Voskovec and illustrator Adolf Kašpar.
Petřín: the magic of love in Prague's Eiffel Tower
One synonym for romance and love in Prague is without a doubt Petřín, a 327 m tall hill in the city's centre, the dominant feature of which is the Petřín Lookout Tower. This steel observation tower was built in 1891 as a loose copy of Paris's Eiffel Tower, with 299 stairs leading up to its top. After climbing them, one is afforded a gorgeous view, with all of Prague and more in the palm of your hand.
The gardens on Petřín are also enchanting. Few would have guessed that up until 1840, the hill was bare – it served primarily as an orchard and quarry. Today it is a green oasis and a place for resting and relaxing. Or for having fun – there's also a mirror maze that can transform you into a dwarf, a balloon or a beanpole.
Vyšehrad: history festooned with legends
Vyšehrad, the cliff over the Vltava with its silhouette of the slim towers of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, is a popular destination for walks (not just by young lovers) that offers amazing views of Prague. It is also a site where the mighty walls keep watch over a testament to Czech history. Originally, sometime in the 10th century, there was a fort here, later the royal seat, which in the 17th century was transformed into a Baroque fortress, the form of which has been preserved to today. At the end of the 19th century, Vyšehrad became a national symbol and a burial ground for the Czech greats. On top of all this, it is associated with a number of legends and romantic stories...

The artificial cave of the Grotto and its surroundings represent the most romantic part of the park, and it is occasionally used as an alternative cultural stage. The uniqueness of the site is framed by vineyards whose history stretches back to the 14th century – all this practically right in the city centre.
