Founded 1918 / Symbolic Power of the Bohemian Crown Jewels
In order to commemorate the 100th anniversary from the declaration of the Czechoslovakia and the 25th anniversary from the foundation of the Czech Republic, the Bohemian Crown Jewels will be exhibited in the Vladislav Hall at the Old Royal Palace.
For the first time, the St Wenceslas Crown will be exhibited in the way that visitors can admire it from all sides. So they will see also the back part of the Crown where is a sapphire from Sri Lanka. St Wenceslas Helmet, his sword and his armour will be housed in a glass case, designed by Gočár.
Information about the Jewels can be found on the panels, which will be located between the glass cases. For the first time, visitors can look forward also to a „celebratory presentation“ of the Hall according to arch. Petr Hrůša.
