6.6.2022 — Rada hlavního města Prahy dnes schválila financování projektové dokumentace, která bude vycházet z výsledků mezinárodní architektonické soutěže na podobu Vltavské filharmonie a která má vyjít na 780 milionů korun. Vítězný tým soutěže, dánské studio BIG, byl vyhlášen 17. května 2022 v Centru architektury a městského plánování (CAMP). Na tuto událost navázal od 19. května doprovodný program přímo v lokalitě, kde má budoucí hudební centrum stát. Kromě kulturního programu mohli zájemci navštívit také informační kontejner. Co obyvatele zajímalo nejvíce?

5.10.2012 — Hlavní město Praha bude letos již tradičním účastníkem EXPO REAL 2012, mezinárodního odborného veletrhu komerčních nemovitostí a investic, který se koná v Mnichově od 8. do 10. října. Praha zde návštěvníky i potenciální investory seznámí se svými nejvýznamnějšími městskými projekty.

14.6.2020 — 'Hudební vycházky' (Music Walks) are outdoor classical music concerts which take place in Prague Zoo in front of Gočár's Houses. After fourteen successful years, the event has become a traditional part of summer at the zoo. Not only animal lovers, but also classical music fans, will be at the zoo every Sunday until the beginning of October. The open-air concerts will take place once again in front of Gočár's Houses at the top of the zoo for two hours on Sundays. More and more music lovers seek out the event for its informal setting and quality music.

17.7.2020 — The sixth annual film festival Das Sommerkino screens films from Germany, Austria and Switzerland during the summer holiday season. The screenings take place every Tuesday and Thursday in July, and every Monday and Wednesday in August. Das Sommerkino offers the best recent German language films with free admission. The films on the festival's programme were mostly successful at previous years of Das Filmfest, and won a number of prestigious international awards. The films which deal with current topics, insights into the recent past, as well as historical films will please cinema goers in Prague. Those who appreciate fine arts and architecture will also enjoy this year's programme. A total of 18 films will be screened, which will be a kind of preparation for the traditional autumn film festival Das Filmfest.

15.1.2020 — The year 2020 in Prague Zoo will be dedicated to the 'Animal Days' project. The zoo will focus on a different species every month. January is for zebras!

23.3.2020 — Due to the coronavirus pandemic, you do not currently have the opportunity to visit exhibitions and museums in the Czech capital; however, you can still enjoy online tours and art from the comfort of your own home. For example, the City of Prague Museum is offering online exhibitions and tutorials for children.

19.8.2019 — The exhibition, entitled 'Jenda Rajman's Camera' ('Fotoaparátem Jendy Rajmana'), that is on in Invalidovna, Prague, documents Czech participation on the Italian front during the First World War.

4.10.2019 — The 6th annual Be2Can film festival will take place in Prague from the 2nd to the 8th of October. The festival will feature award winning films from the three most prestigious film festivals: the Berlin International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival and the Venice Film Festival, along with many other excellent movies.

6.10.2020 — The international literary festival in Prague has been introducing the world's most renowned writers and the best world literature for the past 30 years. The Prague Writer's Festival will take place between the 7th and the 11th of October in the Convent of St. Agnes and Rock Café this year.

31.10.2020 — 'Dvě tváře Prahy', meaning Two Faces of Prague, is a competition in which the participating photographers capture either the positive or the negative aspects of Prague. An outdoor exhibition of 23 winning photographs on large panels can be seen until the 5th of November in the pedestrian zone of Na Příkopě Street. The theme of 'Dvě tváře Prahy 2020' was Wenceslas Square and the surrounding area, and all types of photographers took part: adults, young people, children, keen amateurs and professionals. A total of 720 images were sent to the competition, the most in its eleven-year history.

15.4.2019 — Wine lovers, listen! Wine tasting season is about to start! On the 27th of April, you can taste delicious wines from small wineries that have their own family traditions in the picturesque Ctěnice Chateau.

25.11.2015 — V sobotu 28. listopadu proběhne v Karlínském Spektru DDM hl. m. Prahy na Karlínském náměstí od 8.15 hodin pražské kolo již desátého ročníku celosvětové robotické soutěže FIRST LEGO League. Soutěž, jejímž hlavním organizátorem je Stanice techniků DDM hl. m. Prahy, je určená pro 3-10členné týmy dětí ve věku od 10 do 16 let.

10.6.2020 — Výtvarnou podobu stanic metra D Nemocnice Krč, Nádraží Krč a Nové Dvory navrhnou přední čeští umělci Jiří Černický, Stanislav Kolíbal a Vladimír Kopecký. Jejich návrhy zvítězily ve vyzvané soutěži Metroprojektu, Dopravního podniku hl. m. Prahy (DPP) a hlavního města Prahy pod záštitou Národní galerie Praha. Stanislav Kolíbal v uměleckém ztvárnění stanice Nové Dvory pracuje s geometrií, protože se velmi dobře spojuje se stavbou a pomáhá vytvářet harmonii a prostorový řád. Vladimír Kopecký u stanice Nádraží Krč uměleckým konceptem vytváří podívanou pro cestující. Pracuje také s tím, že její nástupiště není v podzemí. Přináší nové možnosti vnímání, ale také proměnu prostoru v denní době. Jiří Černický pro stanici Nemocnice Krč ve svém uměleckém návrhu tematicky zohledňuje povahu stanice a svůj umělecký koncept rozděluje do dvou okruhů - lékařství a přírodních věd.

13.8.2020 — Po více než roční rekonstrukci se v hale 40 Pražské tržnice otevírá prostor H40. "Komunitní Prostor" nabízí kreativní a rozvojové aktivity pro děti, mládež i celé rodiny. V "Art&Digital Lab" najdou zázemí společnosti zabývající se digitálními technologiemi a uměním. Slavnostního otevření se zúčastnili představitelé hl. m. Prahy a městské části Praha 7.

28.10.2019 — Nordic Days 2019, the tenth annual festival of Nordic culture, will take place from the 29th of October until the 6th of November in Prague. The festival will include films, a debate and even a guided tour. The theme of this year's jubilee festival, which presents significant cultural achievements in Scandinavian countries, is "journey", in all its different meanings.

How did it work back then and how did the position of women in the postal industry develop alongside that of men? You can find answers to these questions in the Postal Museum in Prague at an exhibition called 'Women in the Post Office' ('Ženy na poště').

16.10.2019 — Das Filmfest, a festival of the best films in German, will take place in Prague from the 16th to the 22nd of October. This year's 14th annual Das Filmfest festival will feature new German, Austrian and Swiss cinematography.

24.9.2019 — Language diversity will be celebrated on the 26th of September. In Prague, you can take part in linguistic games in Campus Hybernská and Lucerna Gallery.
