30.6.2019 — After the winter break, the new season of summer cinema has begun again. Open-air cinemas in Prague traditionally attract visitors every year from the beginning of June until the end of September. And the programme of films on offer is truly varied, including blockbusters and award-winning films, and less well-known films. So where can you enjoy screenings under the stars?

8.6.2020 — Darwin Crater, the long-awaited habitat for Tasmanian and Australian fauna, including Tasmanian devils, has finally opened in Prague Zoo. The new exhibition is named after the area in Tasmania which was created by a fallen meteorite. The circular shape of Darwin Crater in Prague Zoo, which is the centre of the habitat, depicts the crater in Western Tasmania.

11.12.2017 — The Christmas markets in the center of Prague combine a festive atmosphere with history. The traditional Christmas decoration blends with decorations and accessories inspired by the famous personalities associated with Prague: Emperor Charles IV., Rudolf II, Rabi Löw, and Franz Kafka.

24.11.2004 — Zastupitelstvo hlavního města Prahy bude ve čtvrtek rozhodovat o udělení grantů v oblasti zdravotnictví pro letošní rok v celkové výši 1 153 000,- Kč z rozpočtu hlavního města Prahy pro rok 2004

26.10.2004 — Rada hl. m. Prahy schválila udělení grantů v oblasti zdravotnictví pro letošní rok v celkové výši 1 153 000,- Kč z rozpočtu hlavního města Prahy pro rok 2004.

18.3.2024 — Pražští radní na svém dnešním zasedání souhlasili s návrhem na poskytnutí dotací z rozpočtu hlavního města pro rok 2024 určeným poskytovatelům sociálních služeb, kteří jsou součástí Krajské sítě poskytovatelů sociálních služeb. Návrh ve výši více jak dvě miliardy korun zajistí kvalitní a dostupné sociální služby pro Pražany. Tento návrh bude ještě předložen Zastupitelstvu hl. m. Prahy.

3.12.2024 — Budova vyšehradského Purkrabství, jejíž současná podoba pochází z 18. století, bude i letos hostit adventní programy. Budou to koncerty a divadelní představení pro děti.

19.1.2019 — Podkarpatská Rus (Carpathian Ruthenia), an exhibition of photos by Bohumil Vavrouška, will be open in the Josef Sudek Gallery, a branch of the Prague Museum of Decorative Arts, until 27th January 2019.

31.10.2020 — 'Dvě tváře Prahy', meaning Two Faces of Prague, is a competition in which the participating photographers capture either the positive or the negative aspects of Prague. An outdoor exhibition of 23 winning photographs on large panels can be seen until the 5th of November in the pedestrian zone of Na Příkopě Street. The theme of 'Dvě tváře Prahy 2020' was Wenceslas Square and the surrounding area, and all types of photographers took part: adults, young people, children, keen amateurs and professionals. A total of 720 images were sent to the competition, the most in its eleven-year history.

27.7.2017 — The City of Prague is autonomously administered by Prague City Assembly. Other bodies of the City of Prague are Prague City Council, the Mayor of Prague, Prague City Hall, special bodies of the City of Prague and Prague Municipal Police.

30.10.2020 — The districts of Prague 7 and Prague-Troja are connected by a new pedestrian bridge three years after the disastrous collapse of the Troja Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge will serve not only pedestrians, cyclists and people on inline skates, but also the Integrated Rescue System vehicles shall the need arise. The total cost of the construction was 150 million CZK, and the construction took less than one year.

13.10.2017 — Prague's Reduta Jazz Club, ranked by The Guardian magazine among the top ten jazz clubs in Europe, resonates with music of all genres from all over the world, from Dixieland and blues to classical and fusion jazz. The 39th International Jazz Festival Prague is held here until 5 November.

23.7.2020 — The large courtyard of the former barracks in Karlín in Prague is being used as an unusual open-air cinema for the second year. Summer cinema Kasárna Karlín (Karlín Barracks) screens classic movies both from the Czech Republic and abroad, as well as experimental films, from June to September.
