8.9.2009 — Ve dnech 15. – 18. září 2009 se uskuteční první část reciproční kulturní výměny Dny Soulu v Praze. Bude se jednat o vůbec první samostatnou prezentaci asijské partnerské metropole takového rozsahu v Praze. Hlavními organizátory Dnů Soulu v Praze jsou hlavní město Praha a Soul. Recipročně ke Dnům Soulu v Praze by v roce 2010 či 2011 měly být uspořádány Dny Prahy v Soulu.

12.5.2011 — Hlavní město Praha ve spolupráci se Zoo Praha uspořádá v sobotu 28. května již druhý ročník charitativní akce Běh pro gorily. Jedná se o akci zaměřenou na podporu goril ve volné přírodě. Stovky lidí v maskách těchto velkých lidoopů poběží od Pražského hradu na Staroměstské náměstí.

23.10.2019 — A new exhibition, 'Russia. Timeless', is running in DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Holešovice in Prague until the 2nd of December. The exhibition introduces strong artistic opinions from contemporary Russia. "The exhibition shows the theme of timelessness over the past sixty years by artists of different generations and aesthetic beliefs. We want them to stand side by side and together, without categorising them as more or less important than each other. Each visitor can decide that for themselves and according to their own opinion," Tomáš Glanc, one of the exhibition's curators, said.

8.11.2019 — Old airplanes will be on display for the Open Day in Točná Airport, which the airport organises on the second Saturday of each month. This time, you can admire some new additions on Saturday, the 9th of November. You can also look forward to the take-off and landing of airplanes, weather permitting.

23.5.2020 — The Jewish Museum is one of the most significant tourist destinations in Prague. Since its reopening after the closure due to the coronavirus pandemic, you can enjoy the world-famous sites and exhibitions for a reduced entrance fee for a limited time.

18.9.2020 — The National Gallery Prague hosts temporary graphic exhibitions in the Fair Trade Palace. One of them is an exhibition of a collection of drawings and prints by Karel Myslbek entitled 'The Silent Drama of Human Poverty', which takes place until the 8th of November. The National Gallery has rich and wide-ranging collection of graphics and drawings from various periods and styles. However, artworks on paper cannot be exhibited for a long time, so drawings and graphics are regularly presented in short-term exhibitions. The current exhibit in the Graphic Cabinet introduces the world of the gloomy but interesting Czech painter, Karel Myslbek.

5.11.2019 — This year's 23rd annual Strings of Autumn international music festival will bring several exceptional concerts. Once again, the festival's programme contains a mix of classical music, jazz, world-music, and projects that don't fit into a set genre. The festival in Prague will last until the 13th of November.

2.10.2020 — The 9th annual Film and Architecture festival, subtitled Hidden Stories, takes place from the 30th of September until the 7th of October. The themed film festival focusing on architecture takes place in several towns and cities in the Czech Republic. In Prague, the festival will screen twenty films about architecture, urbanism and design in the Světozor and CAMP cinemas. The screenings are supplemented by lectures and panel talks.

15.11.2019 — On Sunday, the 17th of November, Prague Zoo will present an exhibition for people with sight loss, as well as for others to understand what it's like to perceive a zoo with senses other than sight.

4.10.2007 — Náměstkyně primátora hl.m. Prahy Marie Kousalíková dnes přivítala v Brožíkově síni na Staroměstské radnici třicet finalistek soutěže Miss Europe Junior Open 2007 (Miss Europe & World Junior). Při této příležitosti si dívky z třiceti zemí světa vylosovaly svá soutěžní čísla pro finální galavečer, který se bude konat 20. října v Ostravě. Součástí slavnostního přijetí byla prohlídka historických sálů Staroměstské radnice.

19.5.2008 — Dnes, 19. května, u příležitosti pátého ročníku Světového dne hepatitid (World Hepatitis Awareness Day), startuje v Praze osvětová kampaň zaměřená na zamezení šíření nakažlivé a vysoce zákeřné žloutenky typu C, proti které neexistuje preventivní očkování. Informační kampaň bude probíhat dva dny; nad celou akcí převzal záštitu primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém.

12.10.2010 — Městská rada dnes schválila přidělení 5,8 milionů korun v rámci partnerství hl. m. Prahy při pořádání sportovních akcí v roce 2010. Radní také rozhodli o uvolnění 7 milionů korun na (nejen) investiční akce v oblasti sportu a tělovýchovy v Praze.

28.7.2004 — Radní hlavního města Prahy Jan Slezák slavnostně přijal v Brožíkově síni zahraniční softballové sportovce. Mezinárodní softballový turnaj se koná pod záštitou primátora hlavního města Prahy MUDr. Pavla Béma.

12.1.2011 — Více než patnáct tisíc Pražanů si na sklonku roku 2010 zasportovalo zdarma. Všech 33 sportovišť, která poskytla volné bezplatné hodiny pro veřejnost, přislíbila svou účast i v dalším ročníku. Pražští příznivci sportu však mohou stihnout navštívit do příštích Vánoc mnoho dalších sportovních událostí, které hlavní město Praha podporuje.

23.9.2020 — The National Memorial on the Vítkov Hill hosts an exhibition 'We want to be free, we will be free!', which is dedicated to the establishment of the independent State of Latvia. The exhibition will be open in the Ceremonial Hall until the 4th of October.

30.11.2019 — Two exhibitions start in Smíchov cultural centre on the 27th of November. They are 'Manifesto' by an art collective called 'Class of Interpretation', and 'Inwald' by Ondřej Vicena.
