28.9.2020 — Prague City Gallery manages several dozen public sculptures. Some of them can be found in Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí) in the city centre. Some of the most famous among them are the statue of the scientist, doctor, scholar and biologist Jan Evangelista Purkyně, the statue of the writer Eliška Krásnohorská and the statue of the writer Karolina Světlá.

23.10.2019 — A new exhibition, 'Russia. Timeless', is running in DOX Centre for Contemporary Art in Holešovice in Prague until the 2nd of December. The exhibition introduces strong artistic opinions from contemporary Russia. "The exhibition shows the theme of timelessness over the past sixty years by artists of different generations and aesthetic beliefs. We want them to stand side by side and together, without categorising them as more or less important than each other. Each visitor can decide that for themselves and according to their own opinion," Tomáš Glanc, one of the exhibition's curators, said.

8.11.2019 — Old airplanes will be on display for the Open Day in Točná Airport, which the airport organises on the second Saturday of each month. This time, you can admire some new additions on Saturday, the 9th of November. You can also look forward to the take-off and landing of airplanes, weather permitting.

18.9.2020 — The National Gallery Prague hosts temporary graphic exhibitions in the Fair Trade Palace. One of them is an exhibition of a collection of drawings and prints by Karel Myslbek entitled 'The Silent Drama of Human Poverty', which takes place until the 8th of November. The National Gallery has rich and wide-ranging collection of graphics and drawings from various periods and styles. However, artworks on paper cannot be exhibited for a long time, so drawings and graphics are regularly presented in short-term exhibitions. The current exhibit in the Graphic Cabinet introduces the world of the gloomy but interesting Czech painter, Karel Myslbek.

8.9.2019 — On the 9th of September, the modern building of the National Library of Technology will celebrate its tenth birthday. A rich programme with guided tours and concerts will be prepared for this occasion.

23.1.2020 — On the 25th of January, Reduta Jazz Club in Prague will host a concert of the Czech singer Tereza Krippnerová, who will sing music of the American singer, pianist and author Nina Simone. The concert will be part of the concert series 'Tribute to World Legends', which reminds audiences attending concerts at the Reduta Jazz Club of outstanding personalities of international jazz. This time, the evening will belong to the legacy of Nina Simone.

2.10.2020 — The 9th annual Film and Architecture festival, subtitled Hidden Stories, takes place from the 30th of September until the 7th of October. The themed film festival focusing on architecture takes place in several towns and cities in the Czech Republic. In Prague, the festival will screen twenty films about architecture, urbanism and design in the Světozor and CAMP cinemas. The screenings are supplemented by lectures and panel talks.

29.7.2019 — On the 31st of July, reggae musician, and eight-time Grammy award winner, Ziggy Marley, will perform in Prague for the first time. His latest studio album was nominated for another Grammy and it is a call for community, activism and love.

25.4.2022 — Hlavní město Praha je největším zřizovatelem škol v Česku a zároveň také regionem, který se díky vzdělávacím i pracovním příležitostem výrazně liší od zbytku republiky. Nedostatečně rozvinutá péče o talentované a mimořádně nadané děti v českém školství však dlouhodobě negativně ovlivňuje rozvoj pražského inovačního ekosystému. Podpořit nadané děti na základních a středních školách má proto nový dotační program Pilotní ověření systému péče o talenty, který dnes schválila Rada hlavního města Prahy.

19.1.2015 — Devátý ročník obnovených masopustních slavností s názvem Carnevale Praha se uskuteční v termínu od 5. do 17. února 2015. Slavnostní zahájení carnevalové alias masopustní sezóny zvané "Slet Masek - Otevření města karnevalu" se uskuteční v sobotu 7. února na Staroměstském náměstí. Na tuto událost zvou organizátoři širokou veřejnost z celé Prahy, ČR i hosty ze zahraničí.

27.5.2014 — Rok 2014 je z pohledu příznivců díla Williama Shakespeara rokem jubilejním. Letos uplyne 450 let od narození tohoto výjimečného dramatika. Pořadatelé Slavností věnují Shakespearovi k narozeninám premiéru komedie MNOHO POVYKU PRO NIC, která je připravena na 24. června v režii Jiřího Menzela. Připomínkou jedinečného výročí bude i hostování londýnského divadla GLOBE, které do Čech zavítá díky spolupráci Prague Shakespeare Company a Letních shakespearovských slavností a které ve dvou večerech (25. a 26. června) představí na Pražském hradě inscenaci HAMLET.
