Dvořákova Praha International Music Festival promises two weeks of beautiful music

8.9.2019 — The twelfth year of one of the biggest festivals of classical music in the Czech Republic will welcome the famous conductors Zubin Mehta and Neeme Järvi. Top soloists, internationally recognised orchestras and chamber ensembles will also meet on stage. Dvořákova Praha International Music Festival takes place from the 8th to the 23rd of September.

31.7.2019 — For twenty-two years, Prague Botanical Garden held an exhibition that visitors could enjoy with all their senses in its exhibition hall. This year, however, is different. Photographer Jindřich Štreit exhibits in the National Museum of Agriculture in Prague

29.12.2019 — If you come to the National Museum of Agriculture in Prague before the 1st of August 2020, you will be able to admire a photo exhibition called 'Jindřich Štreit and Cycles'. Jindřich Štreit is a world-renowned Czech photographer and according to him, agriculture is his life theme.

Praha vyhlásila architektonickou soutěž na vstupní brány Výstaviště

20.1.2017 — Praha ve spolupráci se společností Rozvojové projekty Praha, a. s., vyhlašuje architektonickou soutěž na úpravu vstupního prostoru do areálu Výstaviště. Soutěžit se bude o návrh dvou nových vstupních bran, ale i úprav přilehlých veřejných prostranství. Vítězný návrh bude znám ještě na jaře, k realizaci by se pak mohlo přistoupit již v roce 2018. Cílem je navrátit Výstavišti důstojnost, kterou si jako celoměstsky významný areál zaslouží, otevřít jej veřejnosti a lépe ho propojit s celou čtvrtí. Soutěž zaštiťuje Institut plánování a rozvoje hl. m. Prahy (IPR).

The National Museum has a unique new collection of Paleozoic fossils

31.1.2019 — The National Museum in Prague has one of the largest paleontological collections in Europe. Now, the collection has expanded with even more specimens. For last year's 200th anniversary, the Museum received a unique gift - a collection of fossils of Tertiary flora and fauna.

Physical aspects of radio broadcasting in the art of Roman Štětina

15.1.2019 — Until the 24th of February 2019, you can visit an unusual exhibition of audiovisual works by the gifted young artist Roman Štětina in Colloredo-Mansfeld Palace, one of the exceptional Baroque mansions in the Old Town. Roman Štětina has been focused on radio since the beginning of his career. In this exhibition, created in cooperation with fashion designer Mia Jadrná, he highlights the gradual disappearance of audio technology and the hidden art of radio professionals. His main interest lies in what precedes encounters with broadcasted sound - what exists in the "foreword."

Prague Audiovisual Fund

13.2.2017 — Prague is the traditional centre of the Czech film industry and a favourite destination for foreign film crews. By founding the Prague Audiovisual Fund, the city wants to actively support the presentation of the City of Prague abroad through film and television productions.

Cross-country skiing is back in Prague - Vypich

29.1.2019 — Skipark Prague in Vypich, a popular cross-country skiing system with artificial snow, is open to the public from the 25th of January 2019. It is available for free for all cross-country enthusiasts from 8am to 9pm daily, as long as favourable climatic conditions last.

Collection of Pablo Picasso's etchings that are exhibited for the first time in the Czech Republic

6.1.2019 — The extensive graphic collection Passion and Guilt by the famous Spanish artist Pablo Picasso are on exhibit in Museum Kampa until the 15th of January 2019. The works, which were created in the 1930s, are on loan from the renowned Museo Reina Sofía (Queen Sofía Museum) in Madrid, Spain. They can be seen in the Czech Republic for the first time ever. The cycle is a collection of one hundred works that the artist compared to a diary, reflecting on his extraordinary life story.

Prague historic VIP lounges open their doors to the public
