25.11.2020 — V úterý 1. prosince spustí Praha obvyklá zimní opatření pro lidi bez domova. Humanitární pomoc letos naváže na sérii protiepidemických opatření, jimiž hlavní město reaguje na pandemii a vládou vyhlášená omezení. Klíčové bude podle radní hl. m. Prahy Mileny Johnové zapojení sociálních služeb, nevládních neziskových organizací a spolupráce s městskou policií.

18.12.2019 — Pražská koalice plní své programové prohlášení a dělá vše pro to, aby děti a senioři v Praze nemuseli bydlet na ubytovnách. V létě sociální pracovníci městských částí obešli ubytovny v Praze, zaznamenali počet rodin s dětmi a seniorů v každé z nich a seznámili je s možností žádat hlavní město o pronájem bytu. Během podzimu se začaly rodiny hlásit a nyní prvních 28 dostalo nabídku byt si pronajmout. Kromě toho nabídlo město bydlení 50 seniorům z ubytoven a azylových domů. Stejně důležitá je však pro město podpora bydlení potřebných profesí, jako jsou policisté, učitelé, či zdravotníci.

21.6.2008 — Prague is one of the most important hubs of railway transport in the Czech Republic for long-distance journeys and for suburban transport. Recent investments in this ecological means of transport aim to enhance its influence within the city and suburban public transport.

23.9.2020 — The National Memorial on the Vítkov Hill hosts an exhibition 'We want to be free, we will be free!', which is dedicated to the establishment of the independent State of Latvia. The exhibition will be open in the Ceremonial Hall until the 4th of October.

28.12.2019 — The Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague is hosting an exhibition of works by the iconic Finnish designer Tapio Wirkkala until the 23rd of January. The exhibition is held in the museum's historical building in the city centre. The exhibition's curators are Uta Laurén and Jan Mergl.

23.3.2020 — Due to the coronavirus pandemic, you do not currently have the opportunity to visit exhibitions and museums in the Czech capital; however, you can still enjoy online tours and art from the comfort of your own home. For example, the City of Prague Museum is offering online exhibitions and tutorials for children.

14.4.2019 — The American Center in Prague will host the Jazz World Photo exhibition until the 30th of April 2019.

7.4.2019 — Until the 3rd of May 2019, in the Baroque Chapel of the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague, you will have the opportunity to visit a photographic exhibition of the most renowned Italian photographers documenting the Italian landscape and its development from the 1950s to date.

31.1.2020 — Prague Botanical Garden in Troja has prepared a special experience for its visitors with late guided tours through the Fata Morgana greenhouse in the dark. This is a unique opportunity to see what the jungle looks like at night.

18.8.2020 — The vulnerable Texas tortoise is a species of tortoise in the Testudinidae family, and one of six species of tortoises in the Gopherus genus, commonly referred to as gopher tortoises. They are native to North America, in southern US and northern Mexico. Prague Zoo, which is the only zoo in Europe that successfully breeds this species, celebrated the birth of a new hatchling in the second half of July. Texas tortoises inhabit deep burrows, which they dig with their strong claws and flattened front legs. However, they prefer to use pre-dug mammal burrows. Prague Zoo has kept a group of these interesting tortoises in the Sonora exhibit in the Pavilion of Beasts and Reptiles since 2007. The first hatchlings were born in 2010.
