Prague Castle hosts an art exhibition from the era of Wenceslas IV of Bohemia
19.9.2019 — An exhibition dedicated to the 600th anniversary of the birth of the Czech king Wenceslas IV (Václav IV.) is on in the Imperial Stables of Prague Castle until the 3rd of November. It will display the era of his rule, as well as Gothic art and architecture from around 1400 AD.
The first aerial sports championship in the Czech Republic
25.10.2019 — The first official aerial sports championships in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will begin in Prague. You can come and see the elegant sport, where acrobats dance in the air with the aid of scarves, on the 26th of October in Královské Vinohrady. Aerobics and fitness are not as popular as adrenaline-filled sports. However, aerial acrobatics has recently experienced a great boom. And it's not just about the competition. Like any sport, aerial dancing can be practiced for fun.
The 14th RefuFest invites you to meet people from other cultures
26.9.2019 — RefuFest is a festival that creates space for people from all over the world to meet and express solidarity with refugees. Discover other cultures thanks to music, dance, theatre and other forms of cultural expression. The festival will take place in Invalidovna in Karlín in Prague on the 27th and 28th of September, while Thursday the 27th of September is reserved for schools.

The project Ledová Praha invites children to engage with heritage centres in Prague
24.1.2019 — On Friday, the 1st of February 2019, schoolchildren in the Czech Republic will enjoy a school break. As in previous years, children will participate in project Ledová Praha by visiting monuments, museums and other centres of heritage in Prague. Over the long weekend from the 1st to the 3rd of February, families and groups of children will collect their Ledová karta, a free card that grants free or reduced admission to many museums and galleries in Prague, (such as the National Museum, the Jewish Museum in Prague and the Czech Police Museum) and other places of interest (for example, Prague Castle, Strahov Library and Loreta Praha). This year, about thirty historical and cultural centres of heritage are taking part.

Cenu pro nejlepšího tenistu na vozíku předal pražský primátor
6.12.2009 — Primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém převzal záštitu nad 13. ročníkem mezinárodního halového turnaje tenistů na vozíku „Prague Cup Czech Indoor 2009“ a dnes odpoledne předal cenu nejlepšímu v kategorii mužů. Vítězství a již čtvrtý turnajový titul v pořadí získal Stefan Olsson ze Švédska po výhře nad slovenským reprezentantem Jozefem Felixem.
Konference Czech Innovation Day
16.4.2007 — Význam inovací a jejich sociální a ekonomický přínos je téma konference Czech Innovation Day, která se dnes koná ve velkém jednacím sále Magistrátu hl. m. Prahy. Mezi přibližně dvěmi sty účastníky jsou jak představitelé veřejné správy a akademické sféry, tak zástupci průmyslu a podnikání. Konferenci poskytl záštitu primátor hl. m. Prahy Pavel Bém.
Interesting sculptures on Charles Square
28.9.2020 — Prague City Gallery manages several dozen public sculptures. Some of them can be found in Charles Square (Karlovo náměstí) in the city centre. Some of the most famous among them are the statue of the scientist, doctor, scholar and biologist Jan Evangelista Purkyně, the statue of the writer Eliška Krásnohorská and the statue of the writer Karolina Světlá.

Although he was not a Czech native, he created some of his most precious works in Bohemia.
