Status: The documents were developed and discussed (with the City Development Authority of the Prague City Hall and the company of PVK, a. s.)
in its conceptual phase. Then the preparations and discussions on respective documents of the detailed phase of the project are being performed.
Description, course of the development:
The General Plan for Water Supply to the City of Prague is a document important for the whole City,
which addresses the concept of the water supply to the City of Prague and is one of the supporting
documents for the addressing of the Development Plan of Water Mains and Sewerage Systems of the City
of Prague and the Land-Use plan of the City of Prague. The whole project was for time and financial
reasons subdivided into two basic phases, the conceptual phase and the detailed one.
In the framework of the Conceptual Phase the Conceptual Model of the Distribution System and other following documents
were developed in 2001–2003.
Since 2005 respective subprojects of the Detailed Phase have been implemented.
In 2006 the General Plan for Water Supply to Hlubočepy - Holyně, Detailed Phase (to be implemented in 12/2005–12/2006) was developed.
Work out of the General Plan for Water Supply to the South-east part of Prague, Detailed Phase was carried out in 2007.
The implementation of the Detailed Phase of the General Plan for Water Supply to Prague - Podolí, Michle, Nusle, Krč, Bráník, and Detailed Phase
of the General Plan for Water Supply to Prague – Smíchov is expected in 2009. Intimate Phase of projects will follow in subsequent years.
